To me a water filter is a water filter. I change them every 6 months. I try to get the cheapest price. I've used the filter by Water Sentinel a couple of times and have had no problems.

Fair price, fits just fine. Hard to know how well it filters water... which can also be said for the more expensive Whirlpool/KitchenAid model.

On this site it says they are tested for ANSI/NSF 42 AND 53, however, when I received the filters, the box only claims tested for standard 42. This is important because standard 53 is for the reduction of Lead, Mercury, Benzene, p-Dichlorobenzene,Toxaphene and Carbofuran. You might not have these elements in your water, but you should know what you're paying for!
