 Filters work well July 31, 2010
These large round filters work well in the CatIt Fresh and Clear Fountain, but I knocked off a star because some seem to be slightly larger than others - and this inhibits the water flow around them and makes the fountain work less well. The filter is well-constructed of quality materials and filters out everything; hair, dirt, litter, and whatever else the cats get into their fountain. I would highly recommend purchasing the CatIt Fresh and Clear Fountain; I had tried many before I discovered it, and the price can't be beat.

I personally love this fountain and I have owned three different kinds. This one is very quiet unless water level is low. It is the easiest one to maintain and clean. Unfortunately one of my cats refuses to drink from it. He doesn't like the constant moving water. But my other cat took to it right away. It's simple to set up and you can fill it without moving it unlike some which require you to take it apart to fill.

My cats love this fountain, which wa recived as a gift. I ordered the cartridges (hence this review) for it. I have 2 other fountaisn of a different design, but they like this one best! They don't have to bend down to drink! Stays clean, jsut wish the resevior was bigger so I didn't have to fill it so often!

My cats love this fountain. I have had it for 2 years and it runs continuously. I clean it twice a month and just add water when needed. I would buy this product again if needed. The fountain pump did go once during a power surge and I was able to purchase a replacement from a pump store on-line.

This is my second time I have purchased these filters. They are well made. I find that the recommended replace period to be accurate as specified by the manufacturer. The fountain is cleaned thoroughly on a weekly basis per recommendations. An ocassional tiny piece of the charcoal portion of filter may show up in bottom of fountain. I remove, clean or replace whichever the schedule of maintenance requires. Follow the directions & your Kitty will be fine.
