Product Description Effectively relieve dry nose, throat lips and itchy skin with the virtually silent Dual Mist Humidifier with ION exchange filter. Will help you breathe easier and sleep more comfortably. This ultrasonic humidifier disperses warm or cool mist. A split nozzle for bi-directional mist for wider coverage. Sleek design with easy to use control knobs. Large, transparent blue water tank with easy-carrying handle.ION exchange filter demineralizes and treats water to remove scale-forming calcium and magnesium from hard water. This prolongs the life of the ultrasonic generator and prevents white dust particles to deposit into the air.

Good Design March 8, 2010 Beware! This item was advertised by Amazon.com for a much larger room than it actually is designed for.
Silent, adjustable, effective but smelly March 5, 2010 After trying three different humidifiers, this one has been the most effective at increasing the humidity in a room. We purchased it to humidify our baby's room because she has a cough and we live in dry Las Vegas. We appreciate the adjustability and silence of the machine, but do not enjoy the chemical smell that emanates from it. I noticed another reviewer used filtered water to solve their smell problem. Are you kidding me? The machine comes equipped with its own special filter, there is no way that I am going to take the extra effort to pre-filter the water every day I re-fill it (with overnight use plus two one to two hour naps on med-low, the whole gallon is near empty after about one and a half days). We may consider returning the machine if the smell does not subside within a week or two. Without the smell, I would have rated this humidifier 5 stars.
works great! March 4, 2010 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've been running this pretty much 24/7 for the last 6 weeks and am very happy with it. I fill it once in the morning and once before bed, clean it once a week and that's it. It has made a big difference for our sinuses. I have had no problems with it leaking as other reviewers have mentioned. Will definitely get another one for the bedroom. Really great product, highly recommended!
Awesome, quiet, and it can really pump out the moisture March 1, 2010 More money than I initially wanted to pay, but after buying this unit I bought another cheaper one at Target. You get what you pay for. This unit makes virtually no noise, easy to clean, and it's nice to have the "cool" or "warm" setting for the moisture, but I will say I can really not feel the temperature difference between the two settings. It honestly makes no difference to me. I have a quite large bedroom, and a few times I have forgot I had left the unit on maximum and woke up the next morning with a bedroom at 95% humidity. Way too high, but proves the unit can really pump out the moisture and it is just as quiet on low as on high. Only negative is that you cannot set the humidity at a certain percentage, you jut have an analog dial -- but I knew the unit did not have that feature when I bought it, but more expensive units do. Still, I am happy with this purchase -- and the cheaper ultrasonic humidifier I bought at Target is a hunk of junk, it cost 35$ and proves you get exactly what you pay for. Never heard of SPT before, but the unit feels solid and quality built....hopefully it proves as reliable as it feels in the coming months/years.
So-so product February 20, 2010 I bought this humidifier after doing a lot of research. I wanted quiet, efficient, reliable. It is quiet. It stopped working one month after purchasing. I tried cleaning the ultrasonic element with no success. We have RO water (reverse osmosis) so it it pure with no minerals. I unscrewed the filter and then it started working again. The dual mist does not produce steam from both ports if flow rate is too slow. The cool steam works well. No residue on furniture. I haven't tried the warm setting. It is easy to refill with water. One tank lasts about one day on moderate rate. Overall, it works okay. Would probably not buy this product again. About ten years ago I had a terrific ultrasonic that lasted and lasted, but I can't remember the brand.
